The new Bldg 5 addition is a two-story, 17,800 square foot building with 89 office stations for the VA Research program and home and community-based services.
Why: The Health Services Research and Development Center includes Health Information and Communication, Center of Innovation and principal investigators, study personnel, and administrative offices for the General Medical Research Program.
The Home and Community-Based Services include Home-Based Care, VA Home Care Assistance, Geriatric Resources for the Assessment and Care of Elders, Contract Nursing Home, Community Adult Day Health Care, Medical Foster Home, Community Residential Care, and the Senior Companion Program.
For whom: HSR&D (research), HBPC (home-based primary care), and HAS VA staff.
